MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Apex Bail Bonds Founder and President Fred Shanks IV announced the company’s third major expansion this week, less than three years after opening the flagship office in Danville’s River District.
With the opening of a fourth new location, Shanks now has operations serving four Virginia and North Carolina localities: Danville, Halifax, Wentworth, and now Martinsville. He is already the only bondsman licensed in both states, but his ambitions for the company would take it far beyond the Dan River region. With the announcement of his fourth location this week, Shanks said he’s one step closer to his dream of “serving everywhere from Washington, D.C., to Myrtle Beach.”Apex has quietly become the largest bail agency in the area, but Shanks says, “This is the very beginning of the road.”
